Close Up of a Praying Mantis which looks a bit like an Exotic Pole Dancer to me.

And it only took me a month to process this picture. I have a few images of better quality... well, a bunch of images of better quality. But this is the one in which The Praying Mantis looks like an Exotic Dancer... or as presented here, a line of Chorus Girls.

PIC: Kitchen Faucet. The pictures are helping me figure the steps needed to replace.

PIC: Praying Mantis. Hundreds of photos to yield how many keepers? I really just snap and snap and snap... and snap and snap and snap.

MARMOT: It (or better yet, schwé) is really a Chipmunk (and/or a Ground Squirrel, but my money is on Chipmunk) and lives in (through) the rock wall of the back patio. I really like having the little guy around.

Squirrels that live in The Hickory Tree have eaten all of the aforementioned Hickory Nuts. No harvest for us; but then, Squirrels.

¾" Female to ½" Male {I needed this sort of adapter in order to hook the faucet into the water supply.}

HD: 896 → ??? Yeah, I forgot to ask. So, let's just call it 12 miles and move on.

D: New Kitchen Faucet, which has been waiting in the queue for a few weeks and only took three days, an additional online order for Wrenches, and a final trip to The Store (HD, above) for a transitional adapter from the supply line to the faucet hose. It's about as fast as I am working, these days.

Fall = Sep, Oct, & Nov. You live your life. I'll live mine.

TBD (To Be Done: i.e. what's on the horizon): Caulk Back Window. Mow Lawn (probably for final time of the season). Dig Trench (just a small continuation thereof, actually) at Back Patio. Shed Materials to Workshop. Linseed Back Porch Supports. Sort/Organize Workshop (and to a lesser extent Lab). Lab Lights. Separate Old Washing Machine Basket from Tub. Insulate Workshop (i.e. Garage Doors). Waterseal Foundation (by pouring Liquid Rubber directly into the largest crack, as a start). Store Old Plumbing Hardware (Faucet & Shower Head). Clean The Helm (process Cardboard, Plastic Bags, and Other Packing Materials, stow/close-out old projects, and bring new projects online). Paperwork Box to Office (no more scanning for me). Clean Desk. Proofread Last Month's Journal. Look at Finances (i.e. Buy Some Stock). Hang Pictures & Sort Kitchen Boxes (both Joint Projects). Writing Desk to Library (and/or Guest Bedroom). Patch Extra Sink Counter Hole. Readjust Attic Insulation.

DREAM: Form Flowers (from the latin {past tense} formed, to form). "The trick is in not being able to tell whether they are formed or not," that is to say (implied) from paper or not, (and then, though not verbatim, I wish to ascribe the following to the former, narrator implied), "a feat which becomes all the more co(ín)volved once one realizes paper can be made from flowers; and hence, vice-versa."

D (Next Day, after TBD): Stow Tools. Paperwork Box to Office. Writing Desk to Library. Dishwasher. Dishes. Hang Dining Room Picture. Remove Library Plug-In Wall Sconces. Comforter w/ Cover to Bed. Start Helm (sort, move, rip cardboard). Lunch. Nap. Dishes. Finish Helm. Wave Goodbye to Sweetie. Cardboard to Compost. Gather (Zero) Acorns. Edit Journal (once, of three total plus spellcheck). Computer Month End Backup. Long Break. Grass Seed Mix to Rebar Hole Area. Made Milk Jug Watering Can, which works reasonably well (nail holes in gallon jug). Water Beans, while nibbling. Sand Down Sticking Drawer on Buffet. Move Two Unattached Cabinet Tops from Lab to Workshop, so I could switch location of Two Shelving Units w/in Lab, in preparation for moving Two Shelving Units from Workshop to Lab... perhaps, tomorrow. Even though I accomplished quite a bit, I consider it a Light Day or a Day Off, as I did not undertake any Major Project and I really just did whatever I felt like doing next to the extent I felt like doing it, avoiding all the High Stress Projects.

Fraoes? Yeah. OK. That's supposed to read "Grapes?"

No Cap Fire Slap!

D (Next Day): Move Two Shelving Units from Workshop to Lab. Prep Back Lab Wall for Waterproofing.

D (two days later, I think): Foundation Waterproofing.

PIC: Dead Bird. Poor Little Guy. Looks like it hit the house. But like, really? Where? Who knows what window (with a possible screen or blind) looked like to him? Saddening. But I'll be moving on soon enough.

Rainy Day! So, I'm working on water drainage and the like. I'm making slow progress against the incursions. It was worse. Now, it's better. And it is sure (knock on wood) to get better still... The Gods be willing: Saturn? Poseidon? Order? Chaos?

TD: Check Under Sink. Check for Leaks. New Drain, Faucet, Filter, and Counter Hole Cap. Should be done. And yes, I do TD's, more often than not, as reminders to myself.

TD/D (meaning, The D of The Aforementioned TD): Attic: I was thinking about insulation (and such); but the space is constrained enough (and I am old and out of shape enough), that's not going to happen. Sink; more important; I see no signs of water intrusion from any source.

It turns out, I really like Spiders.

If you're going to conquer the gold, ya got to be a dragon.

Spider Sex!

FOOD: Pulled Pork w/ Cherries, as a sort of Fruity BBQ Sauce.

Singular thoughts in rapid succession crashing into and on top of one another... unto visions behind closed eyes.

Remember to Frost Harvest Roots.

It's not my job to clean up The Devil's Mess. I'm having enough problems with my own.

The Devil can clean up his own mess; I've got enough problems with my own.

On Non-Equality
By Convention: x = x
By Extension: f() = f()
And Thus: f(x) = f(x)
But if either x, f(), or f(x) is a Probabilistic Function the whole equality falls apart once said functions resolve.

I'm more afraid of Mentally Imploding than Exploding or (merely) Dissipating.

Joseph (flat out) did not put his Biological Brothers in charge of anything. New Egyptian Brothers? Almost certainly. Biological Brothers? Not a chance. It's not how betrayed people behave. And even if one claims forgiveness, it doesn't take into account that his Biological Brothers were thieves; and hence, both unworthy of the honour and not to be trusted with such an important and valuable resource: grain in a time of famine.

To my mind, The Bible is littered with such cognitive errors. It doesn't devalue the stories; but rather, signifies a need to look at them anew and figure out what was changed (and/or what was always erroneous) and why.

Hasta? Spring Shoots!
Aster? pass
Jack in The Pulpit? pass
Solomon's Seal? nope
Grow Lichen/Algae/Moss? Will spray milk on concrete wall, possibly adding some (already growing) starter material. {Nope. Just Milk.}

Got the gas fire on standby.
