FILE: Don't Count On Cookis DATE: 2016 (or so, I neglected to make note) ARCHIVE: 2020-08-11 (c) Copyright Brett Paufler # # # # # # # # # # # # # # This is the capstone for a rather large file, most of which (at this point) has been deleted. As follows is a metaphor for the entire project... or at least, my feelings as I walk away. Certainly, I could turn this into a Rant. But everything takes longer than one might suppose. And I can't be bothered to expend the energy. After all, there are better Rants, Short Stories, and even Novels waiting in the wings. So, let us throw away this (metaphorical) scrap of paper as quickly as we are able. # # # # # # # # # # # # # # Edited and Redacted Inline to Obscure any Informational Associations # # # # # # # # # # # # # # On Cookies "Do not count on cookies for desert." This is what I’ve heard all day long: before breakfast, after lunch, in the afternoon, and so on. So, is it any wonder I have cookies on my mind as dinner approaches? [that redacted middle part] "Do not count on cookies for desert." Why even mention it? And more importantly, why did we spend the afternoon baking? # # # # # # # # # # # # # # The metaphor works for me.
