Mother Day Cake

Mother's Day Cake (2009)

3 sticks, .75lb of butter
4 cups of brown sugar

6 eggs
6 tsp weak vanilla
.5 cup milk

8oz (1 container) of powered cocoa, Hershey's Special Dark
.5 cup flour

Cream butter and sugar.
Mix in eggs and vanilla.
Mix in powdered cocoa.

Cook at 400 in well buttered 8" casserole dish (about 4" deep) for 30 minutes.

Take out promptly.
Let cool at room temperature.

Tasted great but 30 min at 400 was a disaster.
Cleaned up mess and put back in at 350 for 60 min



Birthday Cake (2009)
Very similar (no milk, more butter, less eggs, etc).

4 sticks, 1lb of butter
3 cups of brown sugar

5 eggs
6 tsp weak vanilla

12oz (1.5 containers) of powered cocoa, Hershey's Special Dark

Cream butter and sugar.
Mix in eggs and vanilla.
Mix in powdered cocoa.

Cook at 400 in well buttered 8" casserole dish (about 4" deep) for 30 minutes.

Take out promptly.
Let cool at room temperature.
