Social Media Points (c) Copyright Brett Paufler # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # Social Media has a strong pull and a strong push. I do like it. On the other hand, it takes up way too much time and I can be a bit contrarian. I did not track time. But I was engaged for several hours per day at the height of this run, perhaps, for half my waking hours. So, yeah. When I say it takes up way too much time, I am reporting on both its push and its pull (a reason to engage and a reason to disengage). Social interaction with others is, also, a two way street. I like being funny. And laughter (or in this case, points) are my reward. But lack of laughter (or lack of points) is no fun. And down votes (and/or negative exchanges) can be downright painful, as often happens when one ventures into the realms of politics, religion, or philosophy, where opinions don't just differ; but rather, there is (in my opinion) an active desire to stamp out any and all (and I do mean any and all) divergence of opinion. But then, that's just my opinion... and a half-hearted attempt to explain my level of involvement and eventual withdrawal. # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # Data Points Date: Points Total Typically Measured Early Morning Date: Points, Comment Typically Measured 1-2 Days Later Only For Big Wins 100+ A great advantage of writing for A-AI is the lack of any need whatsoever to crunch my own numbers. # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # 2021-06-03: 13840 2021-06-09: 15868 2021-06-09: 538, "From what I hear, the anecdotal success rate is damn near perfect." 2021-06-09: 678, "And if the shark has a laser mounted to its head?" 2021-06-09: 659, "Clearly, she hasn't heard about the cookies." 2021-06-11: 17167 2021-06-11: 436, "Tell me about it, Kids Today. Fundamentally (and/or mentally), I should catalog this as a game: Load It! Play It! Unload It! # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # Finally, for data collection of this sort (whatever sort this is), I like taking screenshots. Originally, I was going to write a script to collate the data. But since I was going to have to hand annotate the comments anyhow, I opted for the long-hand data-entry solution. # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # 2021-07-19 Brett Paufler
