LoR Installed itself into my Administrative Account.  It truly is a crappy installer.

From Admin, I copied over:
    LoR - Shortcut
    My Games Folder
        with relevant ini files

Stupid!  Stupid!  Stupid!

Anyway, to get this running without errors, I went into my Administrative Account and Transferred to My Data Account:
    Start Game Shortcut
    My Games Files with BAT Settings

Start Game Shortcut
    "C:\Program Files (x86)\2K Games\Firaxis Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 4 Complete\Beyond the Sword\Civ4BeyondSword.exe" mod="LoR"

It looks OK, now.  But I got to tell you, if this crashes early, I'm just going to abandon it.  I do not want to Wet Nurse a Mod.

Update LOR/UserSettings/Autolog.ini

And all seems to be working fine.

I have been thinking about giving myself a cooked start.  It's inevitable that I will.  And a major component of that will be a gifting of several Great People.  I was thinking one of each with enough Great Spies to give me visibility {on all my opponents}.  But maybe I should quantify the number.  And then, pick and choose.

Anyway, with the Great Engineer, I'm thinking Building The Pyramids is the way to go.  Representation gives me +3 Beakers per Specialist.  And with a Prophet, Scientist, & Artist all settled, that comes to +12B/T, making the profit from earlier Pyramids (let us assume 50 Turns) 600 Beakers.

I will not be playing or preparing for play.  Other things are much more important... at present.  But for a moment, disappearing into a game was extremely tempting.  But the moment passed.  Possibly, because starting a new game with this new mod is going to take some doing.  It will require a special sort of effort all on its own.

I turned on the game and read some of the rules, which is the first time I've done that in about a month... and a half.

I like Marathon Games.

But something quicker might be more doable... fit better in my life.

But for the moment, I am turning The Game off.  So, likely as not, I am done for the day.

For a variety of reasons, I have lost most of my interest in writing... or so, I would have you believe.

Certainly, as much fun as playing a game sounds (and in reality, it doesn't sound like all that much fun at the moment or I assume I would start one up), making a record of said gameplay seems particularly tiresome.

Or in other words, I'm not sure if I will be playing another game anytime soon.  But if I do, I doubt I will write much about it.  And rather, simply posting the saves seems far more likely.

We shall see, shan't we...
